What is CrossFit?
CrossFit consists of constantly varied, functional movements (like pushups and pullups, deadlifts and squats, gymnastics, kettlebells, running, rowing, and Olympic lifting), executed at high intensity in a group setting. Essentially, a fun, friendly, yet high-intensity boot camp, with weights.
Do you sell Gift Cards?
Yes! We sell e-gift cards and they can be purchased in our online store HERE.
Where is CrossFit Silver Fox and where to I park?
We’re in The Harvester (Melton's back in the day) 56 Harvester Ave, on the 1st Floor. Straight back to the left. Parking can be found street side, and on both ends of the building.
Do I need to be in shape before coming?
NO!!! CrossFit is for anyone, regardless of their age or fitness level. Our members range from athletes to grandmothers. In short, if you care about health, real-world performance, or just want to look better naked, CrossFit is for you.
What if I’m REALLY out of shape and I’m terrified?
We promise you’ll be totally fine. Trust us. However, if you’re still nervous, come to a FREE workout. They are held on Saturdays at 7&9 am or feel free to drop by and talk with a trainer or one of our members. You can even observe an on-going class to get an idea of what CrossFit is like!
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself. And basic ‘workout clothes’: shorts or sweats, a t-shirt, sneakers...whatever you're comfortable squatting down in....oh also show up with a water.
I have/had an injury. Can I still do CrossFit?
While we are not physicians (and we highly recommend you discuss any workout program with yours), we do find that many of our members have successfully used CrossFit to rehabilitate from injuries. Because people continue to move, work, and play in the real world regardless of injury history, we believe the best route to long-term health is to learn perfect form on functional movements, and to slowly build strength in those movements, rather than to avoid them altogether. Our instructors are always happy to work with you to scale and substitute exercises and tailor workouts to your abilities. That said, we cannot offer you specific medical advice, and advise that you consult your physician before starting this (or any other) exercise program.
